Arlene I. (nee Malec) Galicki, 83, of Sun City, Huntley, died at her home on April 8, 2023.
She was born January 14, 1940, the daughter of Frank and Caroline Malec. She was united in marriage to Fred Galicki on October 5, 1995, in Las Vegas. The couple made their home in Chicago until moving to Huntley in 2007. Arlene especially enjoyed her cat, Edmond.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law, Krystyna (Gregg) Gallagher. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred, and by her brothers, Eugene (Yana), Edmond (Shirley), her sisters, Loretta (Chester) Ciura, Joan and Rita (Richard) Zawistowski and her mother-in-law Helen Siuzdak.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18th at the DeFiore Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Funeral will be private.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Huntley Animal House Shelter.
