Obituary

Jackie Fleisner, 93, died peacefully in her home on April 28, 2023.
Jackie was born in Chicago on February 19, 1930, to parents Michael and Anna (nee Giglio) DiLeo. She was happily married to Earl MacDonald until his death on May 18, 1993. She later married Donald Fleisner and the couple was happily married until his death on January 30, 2020. Jackie was a proud Italian woman and celebrated her heritage by cooking phenomenal Italian dinners. She loved to host holiday parties and spend time with her family. She was strong-willed, liked to laugh and make others laugh, and enjoyed a well-made Manhattan.
Jackie is survived by her children, Michael (Linda) MacDonald, and Anita (Brian) Dulmes, Donald’s children, David (Lori Pritchett) Fleisner, and Ritamarie (John) Jones, her grandchildren, Anne (Brian) Morris, Michael MacDonald, Jim Dulmes, Ben Dulmes, Andrew Fleisner, Jason Fleisner, Alexander Jones, and Ian Jones, and her great-grandson, Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl MacDonald, her husband, Donald Fleisner, and her brothers, Tom (Mary) DiLeo, and Joe (Phylis) DiLeo.
Visitation will be Monday, May 1, 2023, from 10 a.m. to time of prayer service 11:30 a.m. all at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Promedica Hospice or St.Jude Research Children’s Hospital.
Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove.
