Stephen J. Bognar, 84 of Huntley died peacefully at home, July 2, 2013 with his family by his side.
A visitation will be Friday from 10:00am until 12:00 Funeral Mass all at St. Mary Church-10703 Dundee Road Huntley.
Steve was born November 9, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Stephen J. and Rose T. (Boloskovic) Bognar. He served as a staff sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Lorraine Witucki on May 2, 1959. Stephen was the director of computer operations for Helene Curtis Co. He was a member of St. Mary’s Senior Club, an avid fisherman and gardener.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, his children, Stephen (Wendell) Bognar, Joseph (Sandy) Bognar, Geralynn Colasuono (David), Michael (Kerry) Bognar, Peter (Kimberly) Bognar. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, his brother, Robert(Dorothy) Bognar and by his great aunt Clare Morvay. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

I was so sadden to read about Steve's passing. We always shared wonderful stories together from our families to his love of gardening. He will truly be missed by all. God bless Steve and his family. Dr. Nichols
