Jay R. LaPorte (a.k.a “Champ”) Died April 26, 2023.
Jay loved his family. Jay is survived by his wife Donna (a.k.a. “Stanky”) and children, Jason (Sandra) LaPorte and his first grandchild Armelle who will be born in June. Natalie (Jay loved that she would do anything for her dad) and Nemo his cat.
Jay owned LaPorte Roofing Company, replacing hospital and school roofs. Jay served in the U.S. Army. He achieved the rank of Sargent in only 9 months and was awarded the National Defense Medal, Army Commendation Medal and, Marksman M16.
Jay loved golf, fishing and hunting. He loved his toys: Boats, Harley’s, Corvettes, etc.
Jay is also survived by his mother Arlene, along with his sisters Lyndell and Cindee.
Services were private at DeFiore Funeral Home.
Jay will be celebrated at a future date.
