So sorry for the passing of Herman - he was a classmate of mine at DePaul Academy and use to come to all our Reunions of our Class over the years. He would also come to our monthly luncheons at Colletti's here in Chicago with other classmates usually 10 of us. To his family we are so very sorry for your loss. God Bless all of you.

With our deepest condolences from the Rangl family, and appreciation for introducing me personally to Chicago and to the American teenage lifestyle of the 1950s. Your parents were invaluable in helping us coming to the United States and getting us started living in this country and eventually becoming American citizens.

Our hearts go out to Hermann, his family, and his friends, especially his dear friend Janet. Hermann was a scholar and a gentlemen, whose thoughtfulness and erudition, in person and in print, were an inspiration to all of us who got to know him through the Current Events Club and worked with him in the Symposium Club. May you rest in peace, Hermann.
