Janet S. Alexander, 71, of Huntley died May 22, 2023, in Huntley. Janet was born in Bonne Terre, Missouri on June 28, 1951, to parents Lorin and Imogene (Banister) Adams.
Janet met Hugh while working as an office administrator for a construction company. There they fell in love and were married happily for 38 years. Janet was a kind and remarkable soul with a keen wit and fighting spirit. She always put others ahead of herself. Janet will be remembered and missed by all who knew her. She loved arts and crafts, hunting for antiques, and collecting all kinds of things. Her favorite thing was visiting the ocean and especially visiting Disney World.
Janet is survived by her beloved husband Hugh Alexander, daughter Rebecca (Aaron) Cordel along with her grandchildren Annabelle and Henry Cordel.
Services were held privately at the funeral home.
