Georgene Marie Gulliksen, 87, of Huntley, passed away on May 25, 2023, in Rolling Meadows.
Georgene was born on June 28, 1935, in Chicago to parents Harold and Mabel (nee Corbin) Gralla. Georgene graduated from Alvernia High School in Chicago, the same as her mother, where she enjoyed debate and drama.
Although she and her future husband grew up a few miles apart in Chicago, she didn’t meet her husband until they both attended night classes. They married on November 3, 1956, and soon moved to Elk Grove Village where they raised their three children.
Georgene was an independent and tenacious woman. In 1972 Georgene returned to work and began selling raw metal and fasteners at Clark Brass and Copper. Georgene excelled as a salesperson and began taking real estate classes and obtained real estate and brokers licenses. She was affiliated with Century 21 and Starck Realty where she worked in several offices in the northwest suburbs.
While in Del Webb, she enjoyed meeting new friends and participating in swimming, art classes and group outings.
Georgene is survived by her children, Paul (Paula) Gulliksen, Katherine (Gary) Lundeen, and Pam (Joe) Tarpey; her grandchildren, Ryan Gulliksen, Tyler Gulliksen, Meagan Gulliksen, Jaclyn Lundeen, Dane (Stacey) Lundeen, and Brittany Tarpey. She was also a great grandmother of two.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Gulliksen and her brother James Gralla.

Cremation was private with no service at DeFiore Funeral Home per Georgene’s wishes.
