James Curda

Obituary

James “Jim” Arthur Curda, 74, of Huntley, died peacefully on June 6, 2023, at JourneyCare Barrington.
Jim was born in Chicago on June 20, 1948, to parents Arthur and Joan (nee Gearen) Curda. After high school, Jim went to work at A1 Tool & Die in Melrose Park. If Jim was in your life, you had a person whom you could count on, and we certainly did for over 55 years. He extended himself to so many. His love and friendship will be missed. I will particularly miss his quick-witted short quips, accompanied by his dry sense of humor. I have described him to others as having a stoic exterior with a warm and soft gooey center. This was true when he was a teenager until his last days. To Donna, his children, his grandchildren, his sister, and all his nieces and nephews please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. We pray that you will all take comfort in your memories and his many good deeds.
