Evelyn Marie Martina, 82, died peacefully on June 7, 2023, in her daughter's home.
Evelyn was born in Canada on December 22, 1940, to parents Paul and Barbara (nee Habijanac) Konigsbauer. Evelyn met her husband Wallace Martina through work, where they fell in love. The couple joined in matrimony on January 26, 1977. They would often find themselves intertwined dancing around in the kitchen. The couple spent many happy years together prior to his death in 2013. Evelyn enjoyed painting and drawing in her spare time. Family was everything to Evelyn, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her family would describe her as loving and kindhearted. Evelyn will be missed dearly by those who were blessed to know her.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Jeffery (Amy) Martina, Cheryl (Gary) Gile, Karin (Jeffrey) Smith, grandchildren, Taylor (Adam) Mobley, Carolyn (Caleb) Betzold, Jolene Martina, Amanda (CJ) Coburn, Samantha (Trevor) Rubio, Eric, Adam, Aaron, and 8 great- grandchildren.
Evelyn is proceeded in death by her parents Paul and Barbara Konigsbauer and daughter, Theresa.
Mass will be Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10 a.m. with a visitation the hour prior, all at St. Mary Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. The funeral Mass will be live streamed at https://www.facebook.com/defiorefuneral/
