Christina Sicheri, 60, passed away at Sherman Hospital on June 12, 2023. Christina was born August 27, 1962, in Poland to parents Edward and Janina (Zygmunt) Boczar.
Christina was a loving wife, mother and sister. She will be missed dearly. Christina was an active reader who loved murder mystery novels. She loved to try and guess who committed the crime before she got to the end of the book. Christina was an avid cook - she specialized in Italian cuisine thanks to the many nights being taught by her mother-in-Law, Florence. Some of her favorite dishes to make for her family included chicken parmesan, chicken cacciatore and lasagna. Christina loved dogs, she would always have treats ready for any of the neighborhood dogs when they would walk past the house. She was always ready to engage the pets of the neighborhood with a Pup-Peroni and a loving touch.
Christina is survived by her beloved husband Gregory Sicheri, daughter, Elizabeth, son, Charles, sister, Ursula Gnoffo and her sister-in-law Ann Boczar.
Christina is proceeded in death by her parents Edward and Janina Boczar.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20, from 3:00 p.m. to the time of prayers at 6:30 p.m. all at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Mass will be Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E Jefferson St, Hampshire, IL 60140. Entombment to follow mass at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.

There is nothing more precious to us than those that we love, and nothing more tragic than when they are taken so suddenly. While our interactions with Christina may have been few, she was as wonderful and endearing as any could ever aspire to be. Although nothing can ever plug the hole left by loss, please take comfort in knowing that the best of her lives on through the love she has shown to her family, and those of us fortunate enough to have been a part of her cherished life. My sincere condolences to you and your family. Christina was such a warm, caring, and generous person. She helped so much with the food ministry and was a wonderful neighbor. She had a beautiful smile and I feel privileged to have known her. She will be remembered and greatly missed.I have no doubt that she is in God’s loving care.

I remember Christina as a tremendously kind woman and mother, who treated the rambunctious friends of her son as if we were her own.
