I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Bob, he was a great man and I have many memories of him and his smiling face and great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed. My deepest sympathy.
Dear Shirley and the Sistko Family Sorry to hear of Bobs passing. My name is Frank Bleers. Bob worked for my father when he was in high school running saws, drill presses and other wood working tools. He also babysat for the 5 or 6 kids in our family at the time. I was a triplet, my two brothers and i followed bob all over the workshop asking him to tell stories. He told us about the Toledo mud hens and the Detroit Tigers and also how to catch perch. He said when you run out of bait, you cut the eye out of one you already caught and put it on the hook. All fun stories for 7 or 8 yr old boys. I bet he made a great father and grandfather. I remember when my father became ill, he would come and visit him and help my mother with household chores.I want to think some of his values wore off on us kids. Im glad i knew Bob Sistko Sorry we couldnt make the wake Bob will be in our prayers Frank and Pearl Bleers Palatine, il
Dear Shirley, we were so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a great friend and mentor for me when I taught with him at good old Ira Rupley Elementary School. I learned a great deal from Bob and despite the miles between us and the all too infrequent visits I always thought of him as a good friend. He set an example for me in teaching, parenting and the day to day approach to life in general. Much of the satisfaction I have gained in life had roots in the things I learned from him. I only wish we could have spent more time together but I am happy I was able to share the time we did have. I will miss him. I will be in touch with you soon.
