Bernice Quagliata, 87, of Huntley, died June 16, 2023, surrounded by her family. Bernice was born in Chicago, IL, on December 1, 1935, to parents Frank and Wilhelmina (Hauhoff) Cordes. Bernice met her now husband, Edward Quagliata, while she was in high school. The couple fell in love and joined hands in marriage in 1956. Bernice and Edward have shared many happy memories together in their 66 years of marriage. Bernice absolutely adored her family; they were her life. Bernice had so much love to give and she touched so many lives. Bernice loved to travel with family and friends whenever she had a chance. She will be missed dearly by those who knew her.
Bernice is survived by her beloved husband Edward Quagliata, her children, Linda (Dave) Helton, Diane (Brian) White, Ed (Mary Lou) Quagliata, Laura (Rick) Burger, Karen (Gary) Frelich, Steven (Tamara) Quagliata, her twenty- three grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Bernice is proceeded in death by her parents Frank and Wilhelmina (Hauhoff) Cordes.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 23rd at DeFiore Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. Immediately following is a 10:30 a.m. mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee-Huntley Rd, Huntley, IL. Following mass, burial will take place at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery 1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL.

Bernice was a very sweet lady. I enjoyed our visits on her patio. I am so sorry for your loss.
