Sharon Lynn Degand, 76, died peacefully in her home with her family by her side.
Sharon was born in Elgin on July 19, 1946, to parents Elmer and Margie Nagel.
She is survived by her children, Connie (Patrick) Brooks, and Bob (Kari) Johnson, her grandchildren, Amanda Brooks, Zachary Brooks, Jesse James Johnson, Justis Johnson, Trevor Preston, Dorion Preston, and Ashley Preston, her great-grandchild, Cadence, her brothers, Steven (Linda) Nagel, and Scott (Chris) Nagel, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Sandy (Mike) Wagner, and Susie (Bob) Padgett, and by her stepdaughter, Colleen Degand,
Visitation will be Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 11 a.m. to time of memorial service 12 p.m. all at Church on the Rock, 17N230 Manning Road, Huntley.
A Celebration of Life to immediately follow at the Brooks’ residence.

I'm very saddened to hear this sad news. Sharon was always a loving grandmother to my son Jesse & a good mother in law to me. May God bless her & the family during these difficult times & she rest in piece with our Lord she always worshipped, pain free.
