Obituary

Robert Raymond Racila Sr., 83, of Lake in the Hills, died peacefully on Friday, July 14, 2023, in Huntley.
Robert was born in Chicago on May 19, 1940, to parents Raymond and Jean (nee Wayer) Racila. He married Betty Jane Sytar on Sept 28, 1974, after meeting at work.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of almost 49 years. Betty Jane Racila, his children, Dawn (Rick) Newson, Robert Racila Jr., Martin “Marty” (Michelle) Racila, Dawn Broz, Cathy Racila, and Leah (Jim) Schueler, his fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, his sister, Donna Racila, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne (JoAnn) Racila.
Visitation will be Monday, July 24, 2023, from 10 a.m. to time of memorial service 12 noon all at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Robert’s name can be made to American Diabetes Association https://diabetes.org/
