Raymond “Ray” Joseph Pozdol, 87, of Huntley, died peacefully on July 21, 2023, at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington.
Ray was born in Chicago on December 3, 1935, to parents Joseph and Stella (nee Cieslak) Pozdol. He married Janet Buras on June 3, 1967.
Ray worked as a printing pressman and then he worked for the City of Des Plaines for over 25 years. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Janet Pozdol, his sisters, Lorie (Harry) Trumfio, and Dolores Mead, his sister-in-law, Rae Etta Pozdol, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Pozdol and Jeanette (Ron) Mayer.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 9 a.m. to time of Mass 10 a.m. all at St. Mary Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ray’s name can be made to St. Mary Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Senior Care Volunteer Network of Crystal Lake.
