Patricia M. Kerrigan, 80, of Huntley passed away on July 22, 2023, surrounded by her family at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
Pat was born in The Bronx, New York on January 4, 1943, to parents John and Kathryn (nee Callahan) Supko. She married James Kerrigan on June 19, 1965, and the couple spent many happy years together prior to his death in 2012. Pat was sassy and stylish. She loved to have fun and kept busy shopping, dancing, playing slots at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin, and in her later years, playing Rummikub at home. She was a wonderful stay at home mom during her kids’ early years and would go all out decorating for Christmas. In mid-life, she thrived as a Loan Officer for various financial institutions in the area and participated in the Elgin Follies for many years. Her true joy in life was her family and she treasured spending time with her children. Pat was resilient, facing many health challenges throughout her life. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Pat is survived by her children, Kathryn Kerrigan, James Kerrigan, and Tricia Kerrigan, her sister Joan (George Hunt) Palumbo, her nephew, Thomas Palumbo, and her dog, Callie.
She was preceded in death by her half-brother Freddie Von Echen, and her nephew John Palumbo.
