Mary F. Babicz, 89, died peacefully, July 28, 2023
Mary was born October 1, 1933 in Kankakee, Illinois. On January 24, 1959 she married Norbert F. Babicz. Before she was married, she was a stewardess for American Airlines and later after having her children she went back to school and became a registered nurse. Mary worked as a labor and delivery nurse until the age of 81. She was an extensive world traveler and was fortunate to see many parts of the world. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Stanley (Tarianne) Babicz, Marcelline ”Marcy” Babicz and David (Nancy) Babicz, by her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ethan, and Matthew, by her sister, Anne LeClaire and sister-in-law, Geri Rashinskas. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert and by her brothers, John, and Joe.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 9:00am until the time of the 10:00am Mass all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Entombment will be at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
