Marie Adeline Heuer, 90, of Addison Illinois, passed away on August 22, 2023. Marie was born in Chicago Illinois on April 20, 1933, to parents Edward and Alice (Romas) Kretch. Marie met her soulmate Donald Heuer through mutual friends. The couple got married on May 16, 1953, and they shared many beautiful memories together before Don’s passing in 2019. Marie loved to travel; she and Don were fortunate enough to travel to 48 states together. She and Don enjoyed making miniatures, and rehabbed many houses together. Marie was an avid reader, and skilled with a needle and thread. She enjoyed sewing pillows, curtains and clothes for her children. Marie was great at cooking, and especially baking. Family meant the world to her; she adored her grandson, TJ. Marie would light up any room she walked into. Those who knew her will miss her dearly.
Marie is survived by her daughters Cathy Hall, Doris (Dan) Masa and her grandson Thomas “TJ” (Jennifer) Leistikow.
Marie is proceeded in death by her beloved husband Don Heuer along with parents Edward and Alice (Romas) Kretch.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am funeral Mass all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
