Carlita Santiago, 84, of Chicago, died peacefully, on Saturday, September 2, 2023, in Arlington Heights.
Carlita was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico on June 15, 1939, to parents Jose and Amparo (nee Cruz) Arocho. Carlita married Raul Muniz Santiago on February 14, 1959, and the couple was happily married for 59 years until Raul’s death on April 25, 2018.
Carlita is survived by her daughters, Amy (Ralph Jr.) Osteen, Eva (Craig) Solomon, and Nancy (Scott) Lewis, her grandchildren, Ralph Osteen III, Ethan Solomon, Carla Solomon, Jasmin Lewis, Krista Osteen, Nina Lewis, Tess Lewis, and Maria Lewis, her great-grandson, Santiago, her siblings, Glory Arocho, and Luz Delia (Ramon) Perez, many nieces and nephews, and her dog, Teddy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul Muniz Santiago.
Visitation will be Friday, September 8, 2023, from 4 p.m. to time of prayer service 7 p.m. all at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Interment at St. Michael the Archangel will be Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
