Denise D. Pitcher, 59, of Huntley, died peacefully, September 17, 2023 with her family by her side.
Denise was born August 10, 1964 the daughter of Robert and Diane Reynolds. On May 12, 2001 she married Kenneth D. Pitcher, the couple met at Willow Creek Church and love has grown ever since. Denise has worked as a realtor/broker and most recently was working for Huntley Realty.
Her greatest passion was that she loved the Lord. Everything she did reflected that love. She was active all throughout Huntley, with the Huntley Area Lions, Huntley Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, and she volunteered helping senior citizens for the past two years with the Senior Care Volunteer Network of Huntley . She also helped provide shelter for children in need with the Safe Families organization. She was an active group leader of Bible Study Fellowship for many years. Denise always went out of her way to help people; she home schooled her boys and was the first to volunteer wherever she was. Denise loved her family and spending time on their boat in Lake Delavan. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Mexico with her family. Denise was a shining light to all she encountered, she loved people with her whole heart and spread positivity and joy everywhere. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Pitcher and their sons, Tanner, and Spencer Pitcher, by her brother, Jeff (Juli) Reynolds, and by her step siblings, Rebecca (Mark) Howard, Cassandra Brock, Vance (Lynne) Reynolds, Roger (Rachel) Reynolds and by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Kirsten Larsen.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 9-11am with a service at 11 am all at Christ Community Church-10547 Faiths Way, Huntley, IL 60142. The service will be streamed live by going to https://www.facebook.com/defiorefuneral/

Denise was my BSF leader for 2 years and we became fast friends. Always praying for my family, asking on we were. My heart breaks for the family, she left this world to soon. But we know she is in Heaven singing praises to our Lord. I love you my friend and I will miss you so much.
Denise was such a Godly woman and I always felt good when talking to her. We used to work I. The same office and she was missed. She will be missed from this earth but knowing she is in the kingdom of God makes me know I will see her again one day. See you Denise !

I met Denise through the real estate industry and then really got to know her when she joined the Huntley Chamber and also a sponsor for the Miss Huntley/Miss Lake in the Hills Pageant. She was a such a bright light wanting to improve everything she touched. She had visions of us all improving our mentor standards for the younger generation. I hope she knows we do intend to carry out some of her dreams. We send much love and prayers to her family and to all of us that will miss her!

Denise was our realtor who became our friend. God is love and she was the epitome of His love. What a beautiful angel she was here on Earth. Our condolences to Ken, Tanner and Spencer. May your memories carry you through these early days. While we don’t always know why our loved ones are brought home so soon, we know Denise is basking in His glory!
I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Denise during those early parenting years, as our kids were all roughly the same age. She was always optimistic, happy, upbeat, and Jesus-focused. I feel blessed that I knew her! We moved away, but Denise and I kept in touch via Facebook (we were both Realtors) - and again when she did the youtube channel to keep everyone informed about her diagnosis. As the word tell us, she is free of pain and dancing with Jesus in the throne room. Our family (Todd and I and the girls) will keep you in our prayers as I'm sure the earthly loss feels enormous. Denise was never shy about her love for the Lord, and I loved that about her!
I will never forget Denise. When I moved to Huntley 8 years ago she was the very first person I met. She welcomed me and my family with such love. 2yrs ago she brought a gift over after my mother's passing. She was always so giving and thoughtful of her time. She was a true gift to the Huntley community. Her faith, smile, and joy will stay with me forever. I’m praying for her family during this time. Denise, I will miss you but I look forward to seeing you in heaven. Till then my good friend ❣️
Denise was a true joy in life.we met through our Christian Women’s business group years ago. She had such great love for her family, God and others. Her smile was infectious, as was her energy for life. She will be missed.

I met Denise through a friend who attended BSF. We had a prayer night and she was the sweetest woman. She was the kind of woman you just wanted to have coffee or tea with and get to know. I know she is around the throne of Grace worshipping our Lord and Savior the Lamb of God!!! May God be with you till we meet again friend!
I met Denise 3 years ago through kwsr and she helped me do zoom calls and pretend cold calling. She told me to shit my eyes and laugh internally which will allow you to speak freely and be myself. We worked great in the office together we have met a few times together for breakfast and chatted about life our talks were sincere honest and filled with love she is will be missed but never forgotten.
Will never forget seeing you at the last class reunion..you went out of your way to chat with me and sent a friend request on fb...your such a genuine sweet spirit...the angels are lucky to have you..until we meet again...
My life is richer by knowing Denise and sharing a friendship with her. She will be dearly missed, fondly remembered and always hold a special place in my heart. Her smile, generosity and kindness was infectious and she always pointed people to Jesus. Continuing to lift your family in prayer and expressing deepest sympathy and care to you. I met Denise through a women’s Bible study group at Harvest. She barely knew me, but she called on my birthday months later to sing to me. The Lord brought her back into my life a couple of years ago, when I needed to feel like I had value, and Denise was the perfect person to do that! Her genuine kindness and desire to share God’s love gave her the unique ability to make everyone she met feel special. I am so thankful that I got to know her. I aspire to have the same unshakable faith she had, even in the face of cancer. Denise, you will be missed, but I’m so happy you are home with our Father in Heaven! I pray that is a comfort to all of your family and friends.
I first met Denise at BSF years ago, and we remained friends ever since. She was a light to all who knew her…. God’s light and heart flowed through her to every person she met.
Denise was a beautiful person inside and out. She always had a smile on her face and always a pleasure to talk with. She had a heart of gold and will be missed.
I remember the first time I saw Denise. She was helping new parents at Heartland Co-op. She was in all white, had the kindest smile, and the biggest laugh. I knew from that moment I wanted to be her friend. Our friendship continued to grow as we shared homeschooling and Safe Families together. Her heart was unlike any other. I look so forward to seeing you again Denise! I miss you so much already but I will forever look to your example of a life well lived! What a privilege to have know Denise. It is with a heavy heart to say to you Ken, Tanner and Spencer, I’m so very sorry for your loss. Denise reflected Jesus wherever she went and with all that she met. Her enthusiasm for loving people was remarkable and she surely will be missed.
What a tremendous loss to all! Denise inspired all she met to love more, forgive more, and live life to the fullest with God at the center. We met about 12 years ago at our children's grade school planning fun fundraisers and activities through the PTA. Since then we have shared many many moments of the joys and pains, struggles and successes of raising our kids and finding a balance as working moms. I will cherish our coffee time talks and support and laughs. Such a genuine, caring, "real" friend who loved with all her heart! Thank you, Denise, for being you and being a special part of my life!
Denise, we only had our paths cross for a short time in small group and robotics with our kids but you always kept in touch a couple times a year with little notes or a call of encouragement. Where did you find the time? Tanner, Spencer, and Ken were dearly blessed with such a wonderful wife and mother. I know that, in their terrible loss, they can forever take comfort in knowing that you are experiencing the best there is with our heavenly father and eagerly waiting for your reunion with them all someday. Denise was like a 2nd mom to my boys after my divorce. She not only helped me find my beautiful home but she treated my kids like they were her own when I was working every night. She introduced my youngest to the youth group at church and they welcomed him with open arms. Thank you for being such an amazing woman. I will always have an open door to Tanner & Spencer just as you did for my boys. Rest easy my dear friend you will be missed.
I am thankful for the time Denise and I got to spend together. She always found ways to collect people, make people feel seen and heard and to show all she met the love of Jesus. Whether she was picking up babies who needed to be loved or gathering a group of ladies to watch a movie, you left feeling the love of Christ.

Remembering your sweet smile always as you grew up just steps away from us in the Beavercreek neighborhood. You and Jeff maintaining contact even after your parents Moved away. Most recently Sending me some info I inquired about. The love of the Lord always shone through in Your life and you carried yourself as a child of our Lord. My memory of Denise was when she hosted a Christmas gathering in her home, I was the speaker who shared my testimony and the gospel. Holy Spirit was definitely working as some of the neighbors were angry and couldn’t handle hearing about Jesus. But Denise made no apologies and would do anything to make Jesus known to the lost!
Dear Ken, Tanner, and Spencer. My heart was broken when I heard about Denise's passing. I first met her as my BSF group leader. Her love for Jesus shown throughout her every where she was and she touched so many lives. I am praying for you, that the God in heaven will surround you with His peace and comfort. Heaven has another Angel.

Denise had a special heart for the missionaries as well! She invited us to stay into her home 10 years ago without even knowing us, just because she heard that a missionary couple was in need. She took me to a women’s conference in Peoria. We have laughed so hard on that trip. She introduced me to so many resources as she loved to grow deeper in her relationship with the Lord. Denise was such a passionate woman! Passion for her family, her friends, those in need, the community, and most of all a deep passion for Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Her earthly light was snuffed out too soon, but it burns on in our hearts and memories and it also shining brightly now in heaven. It was my pleasure to meet Denise as she helped my daughter in her search for a home. She was kind, funny and honest. Even though she was receiving treatment, she was insistent on being there for her clients. Though I had only just met her, I could tell what a special person she was. Her dedication was admirable. God bless her family and friends during this most difficult time.
I didn’t know Denise well but she was a bright light. Whenever she’d come into our office or attend an event, she was full of energy. She will be missed. What a dear sweat soul. Rest in peace, my friend.
Our family’s hearts ache at the loss of this precious, beautiful, and inspiring woman. Denise was “the most” positive person that we have ever known. She exuded laughter, fun, joy, kindness, and the amazing love of our God. Although she is pain-free in the best place, we will miss her greatly. Jeff & I met Denise at a school function for our youngest boys. It was a dismal meeting, and Denise had no part of discouragement. She boldly stood up and stated that we needed to stick together to support our kids. Denise and I immediately exchanged contact information. We later met at the park with our boys. Our lives have forever been changed from that moment, and our boys are forever friends. Denise brought the positive energy, love and passion to every where she was. I truly am so grateful for how much she loved and supported my new and growing chiropractic office. Multiple times a year she would stop in with flowers unannounced to say hi, give hugs and love to us ladies. By what she said I knew I was one of many stops in her day. My heartfelt condolences to Ken, Tanner & Spencer. I had the pleasure of meeting Denise at Lamaze class when she was pregnant with Tanner. We re-connected about 5 years ago & she got my daughter Lexie a job as a lifeguard with Tanner. She was one of the sweetest women I have ever met. She will be missed.
Denise and I last spoke over the summer when she shared with me about her illness. Her smile and positive attitude will be greatly missed. Prayers to family.

Denise was a special person who left a mark on everyone she met. Her smile, her kindness, her positive attitude were contagious. Even though we were not that close, talking on the phone always seemed like we just picked up where we left off, catching up on the ages of our kids, updating each other about our business. Denise was a shining light for her faith and every person she came in contact with… her faith wrapped in her smile and laugh were always present, even when life would present challenges. Such a good soul. I will miss her messages that always started with “Hello Beautiful.” Denise was a gift to us all. We can learn much by how she showed up in this world.

Dear Ken, Tanner and Spencer: May the peace of God that passes all understanding keep you during this difficult time. Denise had a contagious joy and love for Christ. She would never shy away from showing you the way to eternal life. We met about 13 years ago at a homeschool Co-op. Denise was always helpful and prayerful in everything. She helped sell our house while we moved to Europe. She was a testament to being a true follower of Christ. Denise will surely be missed.
I am so sorry I am just hearing about Denise passing on to glory, she was my next door neighbor in Talamore before we moved out a couple of years ago. Denise had such a lovely spirit and would go to any length to help whichever way she could. My condolences to Ken and the boys and the entire family. I met Denise in MOPS at my church in Palatine almost 18 years ago. I will always remember when I brought my newborn son over to her home so she could watch him while I went grocery shopping. She saw how exhausted I was and told me to go upstairs and take a nap. What a blessing that was! It is just one example of the kind and loving person she was. She will be dearly missed here on earth, is proudly welcomed into God's Kingdom.
Denise was a wonderful caring person who took me under her wing when I really needed it. I was just looking at real estate because a home in my neighborhood just went up for sale. She was a wonderful caring person and I am very sad to see she has passed away .my head goes out to her children and husband.
