Patrick M. Kenney, 63, of Lake in the Hills, died peacefully, October 7, 2023 at home with his family by his side.
Patrick was born June 7, 1960, the son of Daniel and Patricia Kenney. On November 16, 1985 he married Joanna Ryan. He worked for Motorola for 15 years in Radio repair and shipping. He was a Chicago Sports fan, wrote poetry and loved music of all kinds. He was a loving husband, father, Pepa, brother, cousin and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Joanna Kenney, his children, Sean (Amanda) Kenney, Melissa (Brian) Le Van, Bryan (fiancée, Kaitlyn) Kenney, by his six grandchildren, Jackson, Lexie, Casey, Cody, Kylie, and Lucas, by his siblings, Tony Skiba, Danny (Christine) Skiba, and by his mother-in-law, Jo Ryan and aunt, Tracy Walker. Sister-in-laws Joan Ryan and Pam Irish. He is also survived by many nieces and one nephew.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Dorothy Lawrence, and his sister-in-law, Joyce Skiba.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 4-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, 11:00am at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Patrick Kenney Family.
