Donald Richard Pelland, Sr., 91, of Huntley, died peacefully in his home on October 1, 2023, with his family by his side.
Donald was born in Chicago to parents Wilfred and Evelyn (nee Soukup) Pelland. He married Arlene Dent on August 30, 1952, and the couple celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary earlier this year.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Arlene Pelland, their children, Dale Pelland, Dean (Kelly) Pelland, Susan Korth, and Donald Pelland, Jr., his nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-children, and his siblings, Barbara Larsen, and David (Pinky) Pelland.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Wilfred Pelland.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a memorial service at 4 p.m. all at the Meadow View Lodge, 12980 Meadow View Court, Huntley
