James (Jim) Albright, 94, of Huntley, passed away on October 6, 2023. He was born in Chicago, IL, on August 31, 1929, to William and Rose (Petersilka) Albright. Through mutual friends, Jim met Louise Soraparu, who would become his adoring wife of 63 years. Before starting his family, Jim served as a Sergeant in the Korean War. Jim was a quiet and warm man, with the unique ability to captivate a room with stories of growing up in the city of Chicago. He was very patient and detailed, and had the knowledge and ability to fix anything. Jim was also a loyal Chicago sports fan and enjoyed cooking and creating cocktails for his family and friends. While Jim had many hobbies and interests in life, his one true love was his wife Louise, and they have now been reunited.
Jim is survived by his children Lynda Albright, Jim (Denise) Albright, Steve (Megan Marcello) Albright, Nancy Arvidson and his grandchildren Crystal, Garry, Eric, Kyle, Nina, Nik, Haley, Lainey, Jessica, Jamie, Emily and Joey, and his great-granddaughter, Mae.
Jim is preceded in death by his beloved wife Louise (Soraparu) Albright, his parents William and Rose (Petersilka) Albright; his brothers, Howard (late June) Albright, Thomas Albright and Andrew (late Marjorie) Albright; and his sisters, Barbara (late Joseph) Urbanczyk and Lorraine (late Joseph) Pinkowski.
A visitation will take place on Saturday October, 21, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Rd, Huntley 60142.

We’re so sorry for your tremendous loss. Uncle Jimmy & Aunt Louise were such an amazing pair and they will be missed. We’re sorry we’re not able to be there but know we send our love.
