Obituary

Walter M. Swierski Jr., 77, of Huntley passed away on October 11, 2023. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 12, 1946, to parents Walter and Ann (Przybylo) Swierski. Walter proudly served in the United States Army for 4 years. While serving his country Walter earned the purple star badge. Walter was a handy man; he ran and operated Wally’s Flooring. He was a private guy but loved to voice his opinion. Walter loved to spend his time at his cabin in northern Wisconsin. There he would fish the day away. Walter was a phenomenal cook, he enjoyed cooking Italian food the most. Those who knew Walter will miss him deeply.

Walter is survived by his brother Richard (Karen) Swierski, his nephews Steven (Donna) Swierski, Michael Swierski and his great nieces Brooke Swierski and Paige Swierski.
Walter is proceeded in death by his loving parents Walter and Ann (Przybylo) Swierski.

A funeral mass will take place on October 17, 2023, at 10:00 am with a visitation an hour prior, all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd, Huntley 60142.

Was Wally’s neighbor up in northern Wisconsin. Glad our son and his buddy, both Marines, got to share some war stories last summer. RIP Wally, we’ll keep a pole in the water for you!
