Geraldine “Geri” Grzeskiewicz, 90, of Hampshire, formerly of Marengo, died peacefully, October 20, 2023.
Geraldine was born March 28, 1933 in Chicago, the daughter of Alfred and Mary Mennella. On August 16, 1952 she married Chester M. Grzeskiewicz. Geri enjoyed traveling to Arizona with Chester, she enjoyed casinos, and had a bit of luck on her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (David) Berkow and Deborah (Kevin) Fugitt, her grandchildren, Melissa, Mark (Andrea), Emily (Michael) and Victoria and by her great grandchildren, Delilah and Miles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, her sisters, Mary Ann, and Angela.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. The burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Marengo. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
