I met Frank at an IL American Legion Convention I attended with my Aunt Karin Rogge who was head of the Franklin Park Auxiliary at the time. He was there with “Lefty”, two devoted Legionaires. I had the honor of being Frank’s partner leading The Grand March in the ballroom of the Palmer House one year and then we discovered what a great dancer he was. I was often asked to sing at memorial functions so Karin and I would travel to different posts. I know because of Frank and his pals Belmont became a wonderful post. I see he passed on Halloween last year; my husband of 36 years passed on Halloween of 2020 So I’ll remember them both. Blessings to his whole family.
