Florence Ann Bramble, 92, died peacefully on November 7, 2023, in Elgin.
Florence was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on June 12, 1931, to parents John and Esther (nee Tracy) Luke. Florence attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas where she met her husband, James David Orr. The were married on January 28, 1956, and the couple was married for fifteen years until his death in 1971. She enjoyed spending time on the Fox River with her children, and when they would come to town, they would always go out for a seafood dinner. She was a proud member of the International Lions Club and devoted much of her time to the organization. Florence loved collecting knick-knacks and postage stamps, and especially enjoyed decorating for the holidays. She was known for her perfectly set tables, with nothing out of place.
Florence is survived by her children, David Orr, Ed Orr, and Julie (Michael) Condon V, her grandchildren, Natasha Condon, Michael (Kiersti) Condon VI, Matthew Orr, Ryan Orr, and Scott Orr, and her great-grandchildren, Marli, Butch, Greg, Addison, and Derrick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Orr, and her brother, Tracy Luke.

Florence was a blessing to everyone at First Baptist Church in Crystal Lake. She told me she joined us because she enjoyed the adult Bible class. She actively participated in worship, music, learning, and social activities and was always ready to be picked up from Eastgate by one of us on Sunday morning. Her friendly smile and presence leave me with many beautiful memories to cherish and know she is at peace with Jesus. A beautiful Lady!
So sorry Flo. We loved you and will miss you. ❤️
My sweet beautiful friend. We will miss our sunshine gal!
Sunshine Girl! I was Proud to be your Sponsor into the Algonquin Lions Club.
Heard from Lion Bobbi the many contributions and delight she was with the Algonquin Lioness Club and all forms of Lions organizations. So sorry for the family's loss.
