Marjorie L. Groover, 78, of Lake in the Hills, formerly of Ocala, Florida and Bensenville, Illinois, died peacefully on November 11, 2023.
Marjorie was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 3, 1945, to parents Marion and Carolyn (nee Howe) Groover. She reconnected with high school friend Bill Sheridan, and the couple was together for over twenty years until his death in 2014. She spent many years in Bensenville, Illinois where she raised her two boys, before moving with Bill to Florida. She loved the warm weather, and she and her friends traveled all over the world together. She was free spirit who loved to socialize with her friends, as well as curl up with a good book and a crossword puzzle. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, Todd (Janice) Colton and Judd (Colleen) Colton, her grandchildren, Tyler, Zach, Carlene, and Gage, and her sister, Sue (Ken) Patt.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Sheridan.
Cremation was private at DeFiore Funeral Home.
