Delores Ann (Sticha) Janek
Daughter of William and Mae (Kracmer) Sticha. Born on December 12, 1925 in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Harrison High School, Class of 1943. On August 10, 1946, she was united in marriage to Francis George Janek at Sacred Heart Church in Chicago. Delores was married to Frank for 48 loving years and together had 3 daughters; Jean Cecilia, Susan Florence, and Nanci Mildred. Better known by their father, as the “Lee” sisters; “Ugly, Ghastly and Beastly,” and not necessarily in that order.
In high school, Delores worked in a Chocolate Factory (picture Lucille Ball eating chocolates off the conveyer belt), Delores said they were allowed to eat all the chocolates they wanted. The chocolate covered peanuts were her absolute favorite! After high school, she worked for Continental Casualty Insurance Company in Chicago, until she married and later had her first child. She and Frank began Blackhawk Machine Products, a tool and die company, back in the 1950’s, later known as FDJ Corporation, in which they both retired from.
Family was everything to Delores. Being with family was like a big party and she loved cooking for them. She would especially light up when you would put a grandchild or great grandchild in her arms. There was nothing better. She also had a passion for watching sports. As an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins, Vikings, Tiger Woods, and Serena Williams, you could always count on watching sports with her at any given time. She loved her flowers, especially the pink ones, lavish desserts of all kinds, and she never missed sending birthday or holiday cards to everyone. Her favorite drink of choice was either a Brandy Alexander or Bailey’s and Crème.
She is survived by her daughters; Jean Laramie of Huntley, IL, Susan (Glenn) Sugai of Rancho Mission Viejo, CA, and Nanci (Bob) Fielitz of Morristown, MN. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; Michael Laramie of Huntley, IL, Madison and Michael, James (Cari) Laramie of Lake in the Hills, IL, Jaden, Jaci, and Jami, Rebecca (Chad) Steele of Rochester, MN, Brett, Cole, and Mitchell, Rachael Rittmueller (Baron Tennelle) of Spring Hill, TN, Gracie, Emmerson, Frankie, Georgia, and Jack, Tov (Millie) Rittmueller of San Diego, CA, Brooklyn, Heidi (Dan) Kluever of Sammamish, WA, Chloe, Gabriella, and Molly, Sarah Fielitz of Morristown, MN, Jax and Hayes, Kate (Danny) DuChene of Dundas, MN, Benjamin, Sullivan, and Kora.
