Joy Ann Barron, 86, of Huntley, died peacefully on December 6, 2023, in Algonquin.
Joy was born in Chicago on May 10, 1937, to parents Ernest and Ruth (nee Jirkovsky) Bozmansky. She married Victor Barron on February 15, 1958, and together they raised their three children. Joy loved her family and was a kind and generous mother. She enjoyed cooking, laughing, and traveling all over the world. Her loving and happy demeanor will be missed by all who knew her.
Joy is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Victor Barron, her children, Gail (Daryl) Nyman, and Vic (Natalie) Barron, her grandchildren, Andrew (Katie) Hesford, Lindsay (Jackson) Gregory, and Ethan Nyman, her great-grandchildren, Emma, Kara, and Oslo, and her sister-in-law, Lynn Hughes.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy (John) Zabor.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 12 noon to time of memorial service 2 p.m. all at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
