Bryce M. Simon, 16, of Gilberts, passed away December 8, 2023
Bryce was born on April 18, 2007 the son of Michael and Desiree Simon. He attended Hampshire High School. Bryce was larger than life, he was kind and protective of everyone he knew. He was a great dancer, a hard worker and was known to be a bit of a lady’s man. He enjoyed soccer, lacrosse, and wrestling. Bryce loved dirt biking and ATV’s and mostly big loud trucks. He had a million-dollar smile and was a loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Desiree Simon, his brother, Troy, by his Grandmother Diana, Nana Carol , and by Grandmother Lynn, by his aunts and uncles, April (Greg), Shannon (Mike) Cary (Brian) and Shery (Joe) and by his cousins, Trinity, Lizzie, Ryan, Jake, Adam, Bekki, Carol, Joey, Christopher, and Denny. He is also survived by his Godparents, Crystal, and Ken. He came from a large and loving family.
Bryce was preceded in death by his Aunt Terri and by his grandfathers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 4-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A second visitation will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 10:45 am until 11:45am at the Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to https://gofund.me/52dcaa0c

god only knows what your family is going through sending love and prayers your way
I live by the accident site and drove through on my way home from work just minutes before Bryce. I am a complete stranger, but watched from my home across the lake as emergency responders tried to help. Since the accident, I am often thinking of your family. I just wanted you to know even complete strangers are grieving and praying for you. Grief has been very familiar to me and I wish there was some way I could comfort you as the Lord has comforted me. So many are grieving and praying for you, and I just wanted you to know I am one of them.
