Patrick John Palmer, 62, of Huntley, died peacefully on December 11, 2023.
Patrick was born in Chicago on July 28, 1961, to parents Thomas and Jeannine (nee Whalen) Palmer. After meeting Cynthia Williams in high school, the couple married on October 5, 1986, in Niles. Together they raised their two children, Brittany and Sean. Patrick was the vice president of operations for a hotel management group and put a great deal of care and dedication into his job. He was immensely proud of the charity work he was able to support through his job, putting on an Evening of Elegance fundraiser, as well as supporting Make-A-Wish. Patrick was the life of the party and loved to laugh with his friends and family. He loved to cook and create in the kitchen, and he cherished family vacations. He was a strong athlete and played basketball and softball in high school, and golf later on. He was a proud supporter of the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, and White Sox. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Cynthia Palmer, his children, Brittany (Justin Leggett) and Sean (Victoria Guir) Palmer, his mother, Jeannine Palmer, his siblings, Thomas (Kathy) Palmer, Debra (Jeff) Borre, and Tim (Colette) Palmer, Cynthia's sisters, Debbie Dent and Susan Lesko, many nieces and nephews, his godson, Tony (Samantha) Cipolla, and his dog, Lola, and grand-dog, Roo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Palmer, his brother-in-law, Glenn Lesko, and his best friend, Steve Cipolla.
A Celebration of Patrick’s Life will be held on January 20, 2024, from 11am-3pm at Moretti’s in Elgin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Patrick’s name can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Having the chance to work with Patrick was a true pleasure for all of us who felt his impact and the difference he made for so many people. I truly admired his leadership and commitment to all. Over the years to evolve our working relationship to a friendship I valued greatly was a true privilege for me. We spoke often and every conversation started with him updating me on how the family was doing and his pride in his children and his devotion to Cindy. My sincerest condolences to the family and friends. Although, I only met him briefly he was a great man and eagerly assisted me with transitioning over a property for the management company. He will be truly missed. May God Bless you and provide comfort and peace into your hearts at this time and forevermore.
I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing such a great human being. He taught me so much in so little time. I am so grateful to have been able to work with a great guy like Patrick. He brought out some great things out of some great people. Cheers to you Boss.. “ British officer: Well, I think I can speak for Field Marshall Montgomery — he'd say you're asking the impossible of your men. Patton: Of course he would. Because he's never realized that's what we're in business for.” I will miss you Patrick.

I am saddened by the new of Patrick's passing. I am privileged to have known him and worked with him. He was a great mentor to me for many many years. My thoughts and prayers for strength at this time.
I worked with Patrick and although it wasn’t too many years it was extremely impactful. We shared giggles and pioneered the first of many non profit galas. He was a proud father and husband and my thoughts to go his family. I will remember him fondly.
