I was very saddened to hear of Linda's passing. I only met her once, but she struck me as a supremely kind and caring person. I'll never forget the way she glowed when Ellis introduced her and said, "I'd like you to meet my bride." It was obvious how much she was cherished. My deepest condolences to your family during this sad time.

I knew Linda from the Irving Park Neighborhood on the NW side of Chicago. Our families both lived on Lowell Ave. We had six kids in our family and so did the Phillips family. My parentsBob and Jane Davis were very dear friends of Bob and Betty. Our families also belonged to Calvary Lutheran Church. Linda and I connected again in the mid 80s when Kelly and my children went to Summit School in Elgin. Linda was a very happy go lucky person and reminded me of her mother. My heart is sadden to hear of her passing. From myself, my brothers and sisters and my father we send our sympathy.
