Mary Jane was born June 30, 1937 the daughter of Charlie and Jane Spiller. Mary Jane graduated from Alvernia High School and was very proud of her Irish heritage. She married Robert Hamann in 1959. Mary Jane worked for United Airlines as a facilities engineering secretary for many years. She was first and foremost a wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, and friend, but was also a diehard Chicago Cubs Fan who lived to finally see a world series win for her beloved cubbies in 2016. She was also a Chicago sports fan all the way around. She loved watching the Bears, the Bulls, the Blackhawks, and the Notre Dame fighting Irish. She enjoyed spending time at the lake house on Lake Sinissippi in Wisconsin. Lots of special memories were made there with family and boat rides were something she loved. Later in life, she enjoyed listening to music, especially Frank Sinatra. Mary Jane was known for enjoying her smokes, drinking her diet pepsi, and always ordering a bacon cheeseburger (ketchup only) when she went out to eat. Mary Jane loved her garden, especially her daisies. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mary Jane is survived by her daughter, Julie (Jeff) Yelton, son, Tim (Eddie) Hamann, and Michael (Julie) Hamann, and by her eight grandchildren and her first special great grandchild and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her son, Sean, and by her sister, Charlene.

Mary Jane is an amazing soul. It was a privilege to visit with her and get to know her beautiful family. I will cherish the fond memories of her. Praying for your family.
Mary Jane was an easy going, quiet soul with a subtle wit. I have never met anyone so devoted to our Chicago sports teams as she was, whether they were having a winning or losing season. It has been a pleasure knowing and working with her for many years and I will miss her. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Yelton Family- We are sad to hear about the passing of your mom. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. May the Lord comfort each of you and give you hope for the future. Miss and love you- Brad and Heidi
