Benjamin J. O’Donnell, 28, of Lakemoor, died December 28, 2023.
Benjamin was born April 4, 1995, the son of James and Karen O’Donnell. He grew up in Hawaii and moved to McHenry County in 2018. He was always very intelligent, and an avid reader. He loved to cook, fish and camp. He was an expert marksman. Benjamin was fearless and had a quiet spirit that everyone fell in love with. He was a smart, kind, caring and loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, James O’Donnell, Karen O’Donnell, by his siblings, Thomas, James (Bertha) and Mary (Patrick Heffley). He is also survived by his Grandma Nadine Brown and Grandma Agnes O’Donnell, by his girlfriend, Kendra Beckwith and by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 10am until the time of the 11am Mass at Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church -1023 McHenry Ave. Crystal Lake, IL. The burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Kansas.
