Dominique Mary Murphy, 59, of Algonquin, died peacefully on January 10, 2024.
Dominique was born in Chicago on August 3, 1964, to parents Dominic and Carmella (nee Rubolino) Ritti. She married her childhood sweetheart, Michael Murphy on November 1, 1981, and together they raised their daughter Georgyna.
Dominique will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Michael Murphy, her daughter Georgyna (Scott Templin) Murphy-Templin, her mother, Carmella Ritti, her grandchildren, Nikolette, Dominic, and Frances, her sister, Camille Riddle, and her grandpup, Jesse.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dominic Ritti, her mother-in-law, Frances Murphy, and her dog, Tessa.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 4 p.m. to time of service 6:30 p.m. all at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.

Aunt Dee’s wonderful laugh and huge smile is so vivid in my mind. I will miss her ever so dearly and greatly. My prayers are with everyone. Aunt Dee was one of God’s best gifts to this green earth and our entire family.

I only knew Dee from the business world but what a sweet and wonderful person. She was a joy to be around, and my heart goes out to all her family and friends.
