Richard Helmuth Becker, a long time resident of Mundelein Il., on Diamond Lake, passed away on 1/11/2024 at Alden Health Care of Long Grove at the age of 84.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helmuth and Frieda Becker. He is survived by his sister Betty (Roger) Orkfritz, nephews Richard (Janell) Orkfritz, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Orkfritz and Tim (Jodi) Orkfritz and niece Christine (David) Krieg and eight grand nephews and nieces.
He graduated from Proviso High School in Maywood, Il. and Chicago’s Wright City College. He enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Alaska. He retired many years ago as a Systems Analyst for CNA Insurance and World Book Encyclopedia. He enjoyed traveling and hunting and was a range officer at the Bristol Gun Club in Bristol, Wi .
