Lawrence Klem

Obituary

Lawrence “Larry” Klem, 75, of Pingree Grove, died peacefully in his home.
Larry was born in Chicago on October 22, 1948, to parents Edmund and Rita (nee Olszewski) Klem. He married Marilyn Dianovsky on November 20, 1976, and the couple were happily married until her death on October 14, 2018.
Larry was a U.S. Army veteran and very active member of the Blackhawk VFW Post 7975 in Chicago. He retired from a printing career with Montgomery Wards and moved to Monticello, IL where he continued his printing skills. He and Marilyn moved to Pingree Grove, IL for the support of his family in caring for Marilyn during her illness. Larry unselfishly devoted himself to caring for Marilyn. He traveled to Vienna, IL to spend time with his brother Jerry, sharing their enjoyment of fishing whenever they could.
Larry was a loving and devoted husband. He loved his family and was a genuine loyal friend to all who knew and loved him. He will be missed dearly.
Larry is survived by his siblings, Edmund (Geraldine) Klem, Karen (Paul) Martinez, Tina (Jamie) Lukaszwicz, Barbara (Roy) Klem, Bruce Klem, and his in-laws, Ronald (Sissy) Dianovsky, Paul Gasiorowski, Geraldine Dianovsky, Edd Dickinson, Donna Klem, Roy Kamradt, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years, Marilyn Klem.
