I am so honored and blessed to have had the opportunity to know Fred. He and Mary Anne lived next door to my parents in beautiful Del Webb and they all became great neighbors and best friends. How wonderful is it to leave a home where you raised your family for several years to a 55 and over community and then meet new lifelong friends? Not many people can be this lucky! Fred was a Packer fan, and my dad was a Bears fan. During football season, and against the Del Webb rules, they both proudly hung their sport flags on the front of their homes and rooted on their teams! It was a friendly, but serious competition which made me giggle all the time. Fred loved his sports, sweets, family, friends, and most of all God. He is with our dear Lord now and with all of those he lost previously, and I know he is smiling up in heaven as he touches base with my dad. God bless the Palumbo family and may you all keep close to your hearts the wonderful memories of a life well lived. God bless you all.

It is with great sadness as we learn of Fred's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Mary Anne. We will always remember our fun conversations with both of you. Fred was so easy to talk to and he had this gift of having warmth in his communication. I'm sure he and Nancy have a lot of catching up to do. The Lord be with the Palumbo family.

I wanted to extend my deep condolences to Mrs. Mary Anne Palumbo.and Dave and Maria, Johnny, AJ. and Leah. Along with all the Palumbo Family. Meeting Dave and Maria when Johnny and Maile went to Tutor Time Daycare, was such a gift to meet this family. Fred and Mary Anne were just so inspiring and the involvement of every activity his grandchildren had done over the years was so wonderful to see. I.am so glad that zoom is available so I was able to view his Mass. What a gift to have this wonderful active involved man in the Palumbo lives. Our deepest condolences.

Mary Ann & Family - On behalf of the Meisinger family, we were saddened to hear the news of Fred's passing in today's Cedar Rapids Gazette. We have such fond memories of Fred and the entire Palumbo family. Our father so enjoyed working with him and the entire team at FMC. In Dad's unique way, he regaled us with the many stories of their illustrious and celebrated careers and achievements at the family dinner table. We'll miss his infectious laugh, and have a special remembrance of Fred's touching words shared at Dad's funeral service 15 years ago. They were true friends. With much love and prayers - Rob, Ken, Sue and Mike
