Obituary


Aloysius “Al” Wroblewski, 85, of Huntley, died peacefully January 24, 2024.
Aloysius was born August 30, 1938 in Chicago, the son of Aloysius and Wanda Wroblewski. He served in the United States Army from 1957-1959. On June 6, 1959 he married the love of his life, Janet M. Zvinak, to whom he was married for 64 years. He worked for Commonwealth Edison for 41 years, retiring as a Regional Director at age 59. Al was very talented at woodworking. He created many pieces throughout the years including beautiful, nativity mangers. He enjoyed music and played the drums in his early years, later taking up bongos. Al coached soccer and baseball for his son’s (Alan) teams for years and loved it. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed and dearly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, his children, Linda (Frank) Battisti, Susan Hailey, Alan (Ami Ligman) Wroblewski and by his 7 grandchildren, Rachel, Erica, Jacqueline, Natalie, David, Stephanie, Jennifer and great grandson Matthew James.
Al was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Wroblewski.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 9am until the time of the 10am Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley, Il. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.

It was because of Al taking me under his tutelage that I had a great career at Comed. He was a great guy and I still miss the smell of his cigars.

Sorry to hear of AL'S passing worked many years with him, and he will be greatly missed.
