Betty Jane Greene, 92, of Huntley, Illinois, formerly of Glenview, died peacefully on February 27, 2024.
She was born on March 11, 1931 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Betty was the daughter of Lawrence and Violet Slindee, who proceeded her in death. She worked for the Department of Defense as the Director of IT, retiring in 1996.
Betty is survived by her sons, Kevin (Donna) Greene, Sidney, IL; and Patrick (Dawn) Greene, Portage, MI. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Greene and by her sisters, Jeannette, and Stella.
Also surviving are 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; Shannon (Rob) Mansfield, great-grandsons, Clayton and Cameron, Huntley, IL; and Nicole Greene, great-grandchildren, Jerome, Mariah, and Micah Jennings, Portage, MI.
Betty was a long-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church where a funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 with Fr. Rey Talento officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. The Mass will be live streamed https://www.facebook.com/defiorefuneral/
