Darlene A. Truman, 86, of Huntley, died peacefully on March 9, 2024, at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington.
Darlene was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on July 12, 1937, to parents Clifford and Susan (nee Totts) Kosloske. She met Deane Truman at a bowling alley and the couple were married on January 11, 1958.
Darlene loved to be in her garden and spent countless hours among her flowers. She had a creative spirit and could often be found crafting. Darlene was quiet but she adored her family and cared for them deeply. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Darlene is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Deane Truman, her children, Vicki (Jeff) Wallace, David (Laurie Donovan) Truman, and Craig (Brooke) Truman, her grandchildren, Ashley (Timothy) Logan, Alexander (Kayla) Wallace, Jacob Truman, Tyler Truman, and Zakkary Truman, her five great-grandchildren, Everett, Addison, Tessa, Lincoln, and Lucas, along with her sisters, Carol Ali, and Cheryl Lotocke.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kerry Truman, and seven siblings.
Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2024, from 9 a.m. to time of prayer service 11 a.m. all at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
