Rosemary Kathleen Pietrarosso, 72 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away on Monday morning, September 9, 2013 at JourneyCare in Barrington following a lengthy illness.
She was born August 19, 1941 in Chicago the daughter of Michael and Edna (DeBeck) Sode. She was united in marriage to James F. Pietrarosso on October 28, 1961. The couple made their home in Northlake where she worked for Northlake Bank and later LaSalle Bank. In 2001 the couple moved to Huntley. Rosemary was a career woman, a loving wife and mother and a devoted homemaker, who cared for family and friends unconditionally. She loved to entertain, liked cards, bingo, movies and her many lunches and adventures out with friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jim and daughter, Lynn Puglia both of Huntley, her son, Jimmy (Anissa) Pietrarosso of Lake In The Hills, her grandchildren, Johnnie, Jimmy, Breanna & Jeremy, her sister, Irene (Dick) Coakley of Hoffman Estates, her brother’s-in-law, Chris (Sandy) Pietrarosso of Bloomingdale, John (Arla) Pietrarosso of Franklin Park, Jack (Barb) Pietrarosso of Addison, Vito Pietrarosso of Ohio and Tony Pietrarosso of Northlake and her sister-in-law, Christine Pietrarosso of Melrose Park. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Carol Sanchez.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to JourneyCare Foundation, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010.
