Sandra J. Liggett, 65 of Lakemoor, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington following a short illness.
She was born July 29, 1948 in Chicago, the daughter of James and Genevieve (LeClaire) Liberko. She was raised and educated in Chicago, married for a brief period and made her home in Logan Square before moving to Lakemoor. She had worked as an account manager for Zimmerman’s and later Binny’s Liquors for over 42 years. Sandra enjoyed the time she spent with her friends, loved gardening and animals.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Liggett of Evansville, Indiana, her grandchildren, Shayna Parker, Rayce Liggett-Kueber & Grayson Liggett-Kueber, her great-grandchildren, Janaya Parker & Jayden Cooper, her sisters, Janet (Richard) Englund of Glen Ellyn & Elaine Mann of Arizona and her brother, Jim Faulkner of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donald Liberko.
Burial will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Evansville, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the Fox Valley Helping Paws Animal Shelter, 2500 Harding Lane, Woodstock, Illinois 60098.

I am so glad I was able to come to chicago last year and visit with Sandy. I know she is in a better place.
May you RIP Sandy. you will be missed. I'm sorry I didn't get to spend time with you after you moved to the area but I will always remember our friendship and days of growing up together in the city.
