Dorthea Seemann 95, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024.
She was born on January 26, 1929, in Copenhagen, Denmark to the late Aage and Johanna (nee Schmidth) Pedersen. She immigrated to the United States in 1951 and met her loving husband Donald F. Seemann five years later. They were married in 1957 and had 60 great years together before he passed away in 2017.
Dorthea is survived by her daughter Diann (Jim) Converse of Carol Stream, Illinois, and her son Daniel (Debbe King) Seemann of Deltona, Florida, her five grandchildren, Michelle (Bill), Scott, Tracy, Andy and Katie, her two great-grandchildren, Liam and Abigail, and a sister Anne Roager in Denmark.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to time of Memorial Service 2 p.m. all at Living Waters Lutheran Church, 1808 Miller Road, Crystal Lake.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dorthea’s name can be made to Living Waters Lutheran Church.
