Gerald Trausch was going to be part of our Honor Flight to Washington DC, Aug 22-25, 2024 and was assigned to the Green Team, which I had the honor to lead. In preparation for the trip, we met in early August, where Gerry and the other vets had a chance to meet each other. We were sad when Gerry and his daughters decided not to go with us on the trip. When we learned of his passing on Friday, Aug 23, the second day of our Honor Flight we felt the pain of his passing. We honored Gerry with a Moment of Silence that evening, and at our final homecoming event on Aug 25th. The Green Team included him in our team photo, and we honored him and marked his passing. Thank you for your service to our Country and our Army. Rest In Peace, Soldier.
