Jim was such a positive person. He will be missed by many, but mostly by his family. I am so sorry for the Blasky family’s loss.
I am saddened to hear of the passing of James Blasky. My condolences to his family. I knew him to be a good man and only spoke to him as a friend many years ago Rest in peace Jim- Lou. .
After the passing of my cousin Chris then my brother I did not see this coming. It is so heartbreaking to hear that Jim has passed on too. He was a great husband and father. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
We greatly miss Jim, the best athlete of our group. A dear friend to us all. Here’s a quick memory. On a cruise ship, rocking slightly, we all watched Jim in a free throw contest. One by one the younger guys were sent packing. Jim beat all comers. .

So many memories, and so many laughs. It will be easy to remember each of them with a smile on my face. However, it is very hard to think of these moments, knowing you are not here to share them. You truly will be missed, and my dear friend Marsha, will miss you the most. You were the Ying to her Yang. Til we meet again.
My family had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Blasky through his son,, Greg. We would see Mr. Blasky at countless high school volleyball matches where he would watch his son coach along with my brother, Keith. He was always there to support his son and really enjoyed watching the kids play. Everytime he saw my family, he would make a point of saying hello and always had a kind word to share and a smile. We'll miss seeing him in the stands. Rest in peace, Mr. Blasky.
Mr Blasky always had time to talk to me. I’m so sorry, my condolences go out his family and friends. Very sorry for your loss.
Mr. Greg Blasky was a wonderful man with a passion for volleyball, but more importantly he had a passion for his family. I am personal friends with his son, Greg, and their connection as a father-son is something any parent would be proud of. Mr. Blasky will be sorely missed, both as a volleyball supporter but more importantly, as a man. Rest in Peace.

Admired Mr. Blasky's son, Chris, my Big Brother since 15-16 yo (2-yrs sr). Before courting his love, Kristi, and Army stint, had the greatest time of a young carefree life; road trip traveling, working together, spending weeks in New Jersey, then Houston. Shared countless memories will never be forgotten. Deeply respect the Blasky family; off-and-on snapshots of time with Mr. and Mrs. Blasky, and Gregg from Elmhurst to Huntley residences. Although I moved 2k+ miles away and disconnected. One heeded piece of Mr. Blasky (Jim) advice stood out, shortly after a out-of-town visit/backyard gathering in Chris/Kristi home in Brookfield, IL about a decade ago. Seek effective GS and other courses at local community college if can, then transfer to State University, acheive same Degree for less (non-verbatim). Obviously, knew what he's talking about, says the person that acquired (3) of them after such. Prayers for Mrs. (Marsha); RIP Patriarch and "Baby" of Blasky Fam. -Daniel
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jim. We worked together for several years at Harper College. He definitely made an impact in our department. Jim was kind, gentle and respectful. We laughed a lot. Just thinking about him makes me smile. My thoughts and prayers to his family. Renee
