Dearest Darla, I just found about about Mom and Dad! I'm so very sorry. My heart is broken, I loved your mother so much. 💔

Since I don’t know how to get in touch with either of Rollo and Del’s children Stephen and Darla I’m using this format to express my Condolences to you two and the rest of your families. Our families were very close when we were youngsters, many family gatherings. Rollo and Dal have come to a few of our family gatherings. They both were special people. We enjoyed their company. They were Godparents to my youngest child, Christine. I didn’t hear about Dal’s passing until today, the 13th. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it to the services. I’m wheelchair bound and reliant on others for transportation. In all truth it is a blessing that she is able to join her husband and son and is at peace. A saying that I cherish is “ To live in the hearts of those we love……is never to die”. All three are in my heart.

I am Dal's sister-in-law. I met Dal when she and Rollo dated and then married. I was 11 and so I was able to enjoy many years with Dal. We had a wonderful friendship. She was fun to be around, and beautiful. She enjoyed people and socializing and we all enjoyed her. I remember several happy events at their home. She was a great cook and hostess. I am so very sad that she has passed.

Dal was so sweet to me and so high energy. She always made us feel welcomed at their home in Cary. My mom would tell me about how nice Dal was to her when she was growing up. I have fond memories of Dal and she will be missed.
