Joseph Michael Stoner, 26, of Woodstock, passed September 7, 2024.
Joseph was born June 29, 1998, in McHenry, the son of James and Annette (Angerame) Stoner. He graduated from Huntley High School in 2017 and was currently attending MCC. His dream was to become a mental health counselor to help others with the struggle of addiction and eating disorders. Joe was an empathetic soul who would not only light up a room but also light up your heart. He always put others before himself and was the glue that held his friends together. Joe was always reaching out to friends old and new, making sure they were doing well. He was described as allowing his own cup to run empty to prevent anyone else from doing the same. A true animal whisperer, animals were all drawn to his kind spirit. He never met an animal he could not win over. Joe left a lasting impact on anyone he met, always leaving happiness and joy wherever he went. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend who will be forever missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Jaime and Annette Stoner, his siblings, Allison and Jacob, by his grandma Arlene Angerame, grandparents, Frank and Mary Jane Stoner, by his aunts and uncles, Diana and Randy Story, Ben and Jenn Stoner, and Kristin Stoner, cousins, Ryan, Emma, Amelia and Lilah and by his beloved kitty, Salem.
Joe was preceded in death by his grandfathers John Angerame and Tim Fitzgibbon and his Uncle Michael Angerame.
Visitation will be on Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 11am -3pm with a service at 2:30pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Celebration of life to follow at a later date. Details to be announced.
