Ronald C. Pacelt, 83, of Huntley, died peacefully, September 16, 2024.
Ronald was born August 1, 1941, the son of Casimir and Marie Pacelt. On August 11, 1962 he married June D. Heldt. After high school he attended Barber School and worked as a barber. Later he worked as a stationary engineer for the City of Chicago at OβHare airport where he went on to be the general manager of operations in heating and air conditioning, a position he held until his retirement. He was a past president of the Jefferson Park Lions Club. Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman. He collected hummingbirds, enjoyed playing Mexican train and he and June were known to visit a casino occasionally. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, June Pacelt, his children, James Pacelt, John (Sharon) Pacelt, Joseph (Amy) Pacelt, and Susan (Jay) Pacelt, by his four grandchildren, Michael, Alexandra, Iris, and Skye.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Frederick.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 3-8pm with a prayer service at 7:000pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home -10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Lions International Foundation.

Mr. Ron Pacelt was a no nonsense dad when I met him in the mid 80s. Practical and funny β¦ sensible and protective. Joe, you know I love you and my heart mourns with you and your family. Ron was my friend through the Polish Club. I have wonderful memories of bringing him kishka and tripe. He always told me he enjoyed these foods very much.

I have known Ron and June since High School, even attended their wedding. Spent many good times with them thru the years, along with his brother Fred. Ron was a real nice guy who will be missed by all who knew him. I pray that June and her family will find peace in knowing he is no longer in pain.
